How to customize your MagicBand for an upcoming trip (step by step)

step1

Step 1: Select your MagicBand

If you’re going to Walt Disney World in the next few months, you should visit MyDisneyExperience.com and see if you’re eligible to receive a MagicBand.

I’m heading to the parks in September and I received my MagicBand notification today.

How to customize your MagicBand:

– First, make sure you confirm your shipping address. The address Disney had on file for me was wrong, so it’s worth double-checking.

MagicBand tester hosts AMA on Reddit

Supershinyface is taking questions about about their experience with the MagicBands and MyMagic+ during their recent trip. If you have questions, head over to Reddit and post your question.

Here’s the review:

The first day of our trip we actually spent at Universal (WWoHP) – while in line for The Forbidden Journey, I got an email from Disney asking if we’d like to participate in a test for lunch reservations at Be Our Guest. We were able to choose our date and time like a normal FastPass+, then select our meal (which was optional, but we did). Since BOG was one of my top 3 must-dos, I was super excited!

We spent two days at Magic Kingdom, and one each at Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT – and we rode or saw everything we wanted, and never had to wait longer than 20 minutes. We also did a few things my WDW veteran bestie hadn’t heard of!

Basically, with help from MyDisneyExperience, Reddit, various blogs, and the Unofficial guide, we had the perfect trip. I keep trying to avoid the word ‘magical’, since it’s sort of over-used… but it really was!

As a first-timer to the World, knowing that all the planning worked out was great. Anyway, feel free to AMA about what we did for planning, how the MagicBands work, or FP+.
